But despite being close to it, Disney+ is far from the perfect streaming platform. It still leaves much to be desired, so let’s look at some annoyances you may face while enjoying Disney+. And how to fix them, of course.
1. Disney+ Keeps Lagging
Among the most annoying things while watching a series or a movie is to suffer lagging. The constant interruptions are horrendous, and there’s not much you can do besides check your internet connection.
The issue is most likely due to poor connectivity. The best solution is to ensure your connection is good quality and stable. And if that doesn’t help, try clearing your cache.

2. Disney+’s Error Code 83 Pops Up
If your Wi-Fi connection remains poor, but you don’t want to give up watching your Disney+ flick, you can always use your mobile internet and watch on the Disney+ app; oruse your smartphone as a hotspot, like a laptop or tablet. However, that comes with its own nuisance.
Using mobile data or a hotspot to enjoy Disney+ often leads togetting interrupted by Error Code 83. It just shows up on your screen out of the blue, and if you’re to resume viewing, you have to restart Disney+ or even the device you’re playing it on. Another solution is to connect to Wi-Fi, hoping it offers a good connection.

3. Background Video Interruptions While Browsing
Disney+ can get irritating before you even start to play anything. While browsing the massive Disney library and going over titles, you get a background video playing. It often shows glimpses of the flick, certain scenes, dialogue, and so on. It’s a feature most streaming services today employ.
And background video can get pretty annoying pretty fast. The best thing is that although you cannot disable it on other streaming services like Netflix, for example, on Disney+, you’re able to. You just have to go toEdit Profileand tick to disable background video. It’s that easy.

4. Autoplay Enables Your Binge-Watching Habits
The autoplay feature is awesome when you’re in a binging mood, but it can get detrimental when you don’t have the time for that. You get torn knowing you have to stop watching but see the next episode already playing. So what are you to do?
Well, it’s a feature that’s super easy to turn off. Go toEdit Profileanddisable Disney+’s autoplay. Then you don’t have to worry about it, and next time you have the time to watch an entire show in one go, you can enable it again.

5. Disney+ Has No Rating System in Place
An annoyance with no clear solution is the rating system on Disney+—there is none. On Netflix, for example, you can rate movies on a three-tier scale: dislike, like, and love. The more you rate, the better the algorithm suggests your next watch. Disney+ doesn’t have that, though.
All it offers for any title is to play it, play a trailer, add it to your Watchlist, ortry Groupwatch to watch movies with your friends.
The best thing you can do is attempt to watch through everything you enjoy, and don’t finish anything that’s not up your alley, so you can feed the algorithm as well as you’re able to. And, fingers crossed that the streaming service will add a rating feature to the platform in the near future.
6. Titles Don’t Disappear From Your Continue Watching List
Continue Watching is essential if you’re keeping up with several shows or like to watch movies but don’t always have hours to spare to finish them in one go. It allows you to start any title and know that even if you have to cut your viewing short, you can easily pick up where you left off from any device.
Where it gets annoying, though, is when things refuse to disappear from your Continue Watching list. Usually, it takes several weeks for a title you don’t interact with to get removed and clear the space on your Continue Watching list. However, when you’re watching several things at the same time, it can get pretty frustrating to see them on that list in between titles you do watch.
And often, in a careless moment, you might accidentally play those titles and restart their clock, so you have to wait a few more weeks until they’re gone.
A possible solution toremove content from Disney+’s Continue Watching listis to skip forward to the end and watch the last few minutes of the movie until it ends. And, in cases of series, either do that with the last episode or disable autoplay and do it with the last episode you’ve watched. And in cases where the title is persistent enough not to go away no matter how many times you’ve seen the end, just wait out the clock for Disney+ to remove the title itself.
7. Titles Disappear From Your Continue Watching List Too Quickly
Sometimes, you face the exact opposite problem. You don’t bother to interact with a title on your Continue Watching list, despite having the intention to watch it at some point. And then Disney+ removes it.
you may save yourself a lot of time and frustration if you add every title to your Watchlist. That way, whether you’ve started them or not, you know where to find them. And, if you have started it and it’s been removed from your Continue Watching, you can still pick it up with no hassle from your Watchlist.
8. Disney+ Doesn’t Let You Skip Recap
Following a show on Disney+, especially if you’re binging it, you don’t always need to see a recap of the previous episodes. If you’re watching on a smart TV, thankfully, you do have the option to press a button to skip recap and enjoy your episode peacefully.
If you’re watching on your laptop, though, you do not have that option. And that’s annoying. It may be a mere few minutes, but it’s minutes you don’t have to waste seeing something you already remember seeing. If you wish to skip the recap without the ease of a button, you have to simply skip forward manually.
Big or Small, You Can Always Fix Your Disney+ Issues
Disney+ is home to some of the most popular franchises you can watch and continues to offer original content to boot. Yet, despite its many positives, the streaming service has its moments of lacking. And, unfortunately, the potential issues don’t end with mere mild annoyances.
Like with any other streaming service, you may face a ton of other, more serious issues while enjoying Disney+. But don’t worry. If the platform doesn’t work right or outright refuses to work, you can always find and fix the problems with little to no trouble.
