Just how apocalyptic the show will get, however, could harm its chances of being picked up on another network or platform without some major ret-conning required.
The best way forward is a spinoff that centers Sister Andrea (Andrea Martin).A spinoff that follows Sister Andrea as she investigates and fights demons in the shadowsof a misogynistic church system would work from a narrative perspective, as the nun has already shown both her capability to (literally) sniff out demons and fight them. This would allow the show to keep its monster-of-the-week structure and tone, and hold onto the aspects ofEvilthat make it so unique.
Lynn has shown an interest in becoming a nun, so a spinoff could follow Lynn’s journey, with Sister Andrea showing her how to navigate the world of the clergy and demons.
Sister Andrea has also been a wonderful spiritual guide for David and has given him strength, advice, and a positive direction in his life as a priest. This dynamic could continue in a spinoff, but instead of David,the show could make Kristen’s daughter Lynn (Brooklyn Shuck) Sister Andrea’s new and young protégé. Lynn has shown an interest in becoming a nun, so a spinoff could follow Lynn’s journey, with Sister Andrea showing her how to navigate the world of the clergy and demons. With this approach, Lynn’s mom, Kristen (Katja Herbers) could return in a cameo or a guest appearance.

The nun isn’t quiet about the different treatment that nuns and women receive in the Church, but she knows how to use this misogynistic system to her advantage.She can work in the shadows while hunting those who hide there, and this nuanced approach, where the ideas of good and evil are not so binary, is one of the show’s major strengths.
Sister Andrea has also shown she can fight, andshe isn’t afraid of fighting dirty. In a post-episode interview, the actress stated that she likes doing the stunts and killing the demons herself.
