For example, a Trainer who’s reached Level 40 can only encounter a Ditto up to 931 CP, but Rhyhorn and Oddish can go as high as 1762 CP or 1240 CP respectively. This means a Pokémon is more likely to be a Ditto if it’s got a low CP.

There’s no way to increase the odds of a Ditto spawn inPokémon GO, but you may try using Incense to increase the spawns of wild Pokémon in the hope that one of them will be a Ditto. Players who are short on PokéCoins can use theirDaily Adventure Incensefor 15 minutes of added map spawns. This is shorter than the 30-minute duration of a regular Incense, but it’s a handy free feature that recharges each day.
A second tool to use to increase potential Ditto spawns isLures inPokémon GO. Applying these at PokéStops will attract extra wild Pokémon to the immediate area for 30 minutes.
