When entering the grove, the party will discover that the druids are planning to close off the area to keep out any threats, which will doom the tieflings. Heading into the heart of the Emerald Grove to speak to the druid leaders, the party will arrive in the middle of a confrontation involving a young girl, Arabella. If the party does not intervene, then the situation rapidly spirals out of control and can result in the death of the tiefling child. However, with carefully chosen words and high enough skill checks, Arabella can be saved.

Like most choices in Baldur’s Gate 3, the decision to save or kill True Soul Nere has different outcomes and rewards depending on how things play out.

Trouble In The Druid Grove Between Kagha & The Tieflings

A Child’s Mistake Threatens To Unravel Everything

Arabella plays a key role in Kagha’s storyinBaldur’s Gate 3, with her fate tied directly to that of the druid. Listening to the confrontation between Kagha and fellow druid Rath reveals that Arabella stole the sacred statue of Silvanus, something that Kagha wants to imprison her for. The party can either stand by and allow the scene to unfold, resulting in Arabella attempting to flee and being bitten by Kagha’s snake. Alternatively, the party can step in to save her with a choice of skill checks.

Druid characters will have lower DCs for Nature and Persuasion checks as well as with advantage. Meanwhile, a tiefling character will have higher DCs with 15 for Nature (DC 12) or 18 for Persuasion (DC 12).

The party interupt an argument between Kagha and Rath in Baldur’s Gate 3.

While that might seem to be the end of the matter, there is a hidden quest in the area that can either redeem or condemn Kagha. Byinvestigating Kagha, her connection to the Shadow Druids is revealed, prompting the party to find further evidence in Sunlit Wetlands. After fighting off a group of Ancient Mud Mephits and a couple of Wood Woads, the party will discover hard evidence of Kagha’s involvement with the Shadow Druids. From there, the party faces a choice to either confront Kagha or keep it to themselves, with each option having its own outcome.

What Happens If Kagha’s Secret Is Not Revealed?

Kagha Learns Nothing & The Shadow Druids Campaign Continues

KeepingKagha’s secretmeans that the young wood elf will not be redeemed and be completely unrepentant when Halsin returns from the Goblin camp. If Arabella is alive,Halsin will demote Kagha to the rank of novice, however, she will push back and challenge his authority, before begrudgingly accepting her punishment. If the Shadow Druids are mentioned here, Halsin will simply say that Kagha has learned her lesson and will not stray again.

If Arabella is dead, then the scene with Halsin will play out slightly differently, with the senior druid being far angrier with Kagha. Kagha will be equally as furious with Halsin, accusing him of abandoning the Grove, and show no remorse about the death of Arabella. In this outcome,Halsin will exile Kagha, who will storm off with her head still held high.

Kagha leans over Arabella in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Kagha’s involvement with Shadow Druids is cleverly hinted at with her armor as the leaves on her sleeves are wilting and look unhealthy when compared to the green leaves seen on Rath and Halsin.

If Arabella dies, then her mother, Komira, will confront Kagha at the camp party towards the end of Act 1. Kagha will continue to show no regret about her role in Arabella’s death, prompting Komira to poison her. If the player character does not intervene,Komira will stab the paralyzed Kaghaas revenge for her lost child.

What Happens If Kagha Is Killed?

Kagha’s Death At Least Has Some Reward

If the party chooses to share the evidence, then the rats in the Inner Sanctum will suddenly transform, revealing thatthree Shadow Druids have been in the Grove the entire time. Kagha can be convinced to repent, however, if that fails then she will join the Shadow Druids Olodan, Wren and Pinta in a fight against the party. The fight isn’t too difficult, even at lower levels, so long as the party has rested and has most of their abilities and spell slots.

After she is killed the party can lootBroodmother’s Revengefrom Kagha’s body.It is best to confront Kagha with evidence of the Shadow Druids if planning to kill her, otherwise, the entire Druid Grove except for Rath will become hostile. This will also trigger the death of the majority of the tieflings in the Grove as the druids turn on the refugees.

What Happens If Kagha Is Redeemed?

Helping Kagha Adds Depth To Her Character & Saves The Grove

However,if Kagha’s secret is revealed there is a chance to redeem herand make her realize she has been a puppet for the Shadow Druids. The party must pass a DC Persuasion check to stop her from immediately siding with Olodan. After which either a DC 10 Persuasion or Religion check can be chosen, using detect thoughts, or passing a DC 5 History check. Once convinced Kagha will join the party’s side during the fight with the Shadow Druids.

The History check to convince Kagha is only available if all the plaques inside the Inner Sanctum have been read, although druids can automatically pass this check.

If the player character is a druid or has one level in druid, then after the fight, Kagha will commend them for keeping to the teaching of Silvanus. She will give themthe title of Faithwarden and the rare quarterstaff Pale Oak. If Kagha dies during the fight but was redeemed then Rath will give the druid character the staff.

10 Coolest Druid Wild Shape Forms In Baldur’s Gate 3, Ranked Worst To Best

Baldur’s Gate 3 has a plethora of Wild Shape forms for druids to transform into. But some are definitely better than others in more ways than one.

When Halsin returns, his scenes with Kagha will have a different tone as she is completely repentant and apologetic. If Arabella is alive, Kagha will still be demoted by Halsin, and is honestly sorry for the trouble she caused. If Arabella is dead,Kagha will attempt to make excuses before being exiledfrom the Grove by a furious Halsin.

Just as before, if Arabella died her parents will confront Kagha at the camp party although this time Kagha will seem genuinely sorry.

The best outcome for“Save Arabella”and“Investigate Kagha”is tokeep Arabella alive and redeem Kagha. If redeemed, Kagha seems to have actually learned from her mistakes, and unless this is an evilBaldur’s Gate 3playthrough, keeping as many people alive is the right thing to do. Arabella’s Act 2 spell and her end-gameally buffare excellent, while Kagha is a passionate druid who still has good inside her despite her mistakes.
