MarvelrevealedOne World Under Doomtoday at the “Next Big Thing” panel at San Diego Comic-Con. While the publisher did not reveal any plot details, creative teams or a release date beyond a vague 2025, it did unveil a cryptic teaser image. The red-toned picture, by an unidentified artist, shows various Marvel heroes, such as Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk and Scarlet Witch, all kneeling before Doctor Doom, who stands triumphant above them.
Marvel did reveal that the events ofOne World Under Doomwould spin directly out of the events ofBlood Hunt.

Since his introduction over 60 years ago, Doctor Doom has become Marvel’s ultimate villain. Nearly every hero in the Marvel Universe has encountered Doom at some point in their career, but he harbors a specialgrudge against Reed Richards. Doom’s lust for power has led him to master both science and magic, as well as the throne of Latveria. Doom was not content to stop there, and his attempts to at domination have been foiled time and again. Yet through it all Doom persists, biding his time.
Marvel did reveal one intriguing detail aboutOne World Under Doomin the Next Big Thing panel. Spinning out ofOne World Under DoomisEight Deaths of Spider-Man. The book sees Doctor Doom grant Spider-Man additional lives “to serve a higher purpose.” Per the panel, Doom will become the new Sorcerer Supreme. It is worth noting that Doom recently entered the events ofBlood Hunt. Doctor Strange and his allies travel to Latveria, seeking Doom’s help with the vampire uprising. Doom offered his help, but stated he must become the Sorcerer Supreme.

Doctor Doom is highly skilled in magic, and has been a perennial runner-up for the title of Sorcerer Supreme–and now at long last the mantle is his. Merely using his magic to bend others to his will is not in Doom’s playbook, meaning he will get the heroes to submit to him another way.
