Elden Ring: What Happens If You Tell Moore “Put It Behind You” In Shadow Of The Erdtree?
Pros & Cons Of Telling Moore To Move On
When the player returns toMooreafter breaking Miquella’s charm, he’s lost his purpose. Without a magical bond to Miquella, gathering useful things for Lady Leda and her compatriots has lost all meaning. He laments the state of the Land of Shadow and the Forager Brood, and ultimately, asks the player what he should do next. It’s then that they’re presented with two options:tell Moore to “put it behind him,” getting over the recent tragedy and seeking a new purpose in life; or “remain sad forever,” allowing the pain and confusion to consume him completely. He’ll take their words here very seriously, so it’s important to choose wisely.
If the player chooses the third option, “I don’t know,” Moore will simply continue to demand an answer until they commit one way or another.

If the player chooses the ostensibly kinder option, “Put it behind you,” Moore will immediately adopt a slightly sunnier disposition, and his voice will take on a tone of hope. He’ll admit that they’re right, and resolve to set out on a journey of his own. He doesn’t exactly know where he’ll end up, but he’s resolved to find a new purpose. If the player has been kind to the Forager Brood and found several of theForager Brood Cookbooksspread throughoutElden Ring’s DLC map, Moore will also give them a new one: Forager Brood Cookbook [7], which unlocks crafting recipes for the Spirit Raisin and Charming Branch.
And Moore, true to his word, will be gone the next time the player reloads the area. They won’t see him again until after they’ve defeatedMessmer the Impaler, burned the sealing tree within Belurat, and unlocked the final dungeon of the DLC, Enir-Ilim. Here, they’ll eventually be forced into a fight againstLeda. Depending on the player’s choices in variousquest lines throughoutShadow of the Erdtree, the Needle Knight will have numerous allies available to her: Dryleaf Dane, Redmayne Freyja, the Hornsent, andMoore may appear at Leda’s side. It seems he gained a newfound faith in Miquella by following Leda’s determination, which ultimately leads him down a deadly path.

If the player completesThiollier’s quest and givesAnsbachthe Secret Rite Scroll, they can summon them as allies in the fight against Leda.
Once the player defeats Leda and her compatriots, they can claim much of their equipment, including Moore’s armor set. This includes theVerdigris Set, consisting of a matching greatshield, chest piece, helmet, gauntlets, and greaves. Moore also drops a Bell Bearing, which, once given to theTwin Maiden Husksat Roundtable Hold, can be used to purchase a variety of crafting materials, ammo, and pickled livers - in essence, Moore’s regular shop inventory. Thus ends Moore’s quest line. He stays dead, and never appears again.

How To Beat Miquella’s Followers In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree (All Rewards)
In Elden Ring, players must defeat Miquella’s Followers as the penultimate boss challenge in the expansion to earn dozens of rewards.
Pros & Cons Of Telling Moore To Stay Sad
If the player instead decides to tell Moore to “Remain sad forever,” they’ll see an immediate turn for the worse as he wallows in his depression. He’ll mutter something about going away, give the Tarnished the final Forager Brood Cookbook if they’ve collected some of the others, and disappear once the area is reloaded. The player can later find Moore collapsed behind the Church of the Crusade, next to one of the Forager Brood. It’s implied that Moore went searching for comfort in his friends, but ultimately, was victim to the same terrible fate that befell this particular forager. The player can once again reap the benefits of his equipment, collecting theVerdigris Setand Moore’s Bell Bearing.
The more important consequence of this choice, though, is thatMoore will no longer appear as an enemy in the battle against Leda. Having one less foe to worry about does make this fight significantly easier. His death behind the Church of the Crusade doesn’t materially affect any other storylines or NPC quests; it just decreases Leda’s numbers.

Quicker Rewards & An Easier Fight Against Leda
It may not be the nice thing to do, butplayers benefit the most from telling Moore to “remain sad forever” inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. They get the exact same set of rewards either way - Moore’s armor set, Bell Bearing, and final Forager Brood Cookbook, if they’ve collected all the others - the only difference is how much effort they have to put in to claim them. It’s much easier to simply convince Moore to lose hope, and ultimately walk into his own death, than it is to fight him head-on.
Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree Is Hard, But It’s Not FromSoftware’s Most Difficult Game
Shadow of the Erdtree is getting a reputation for perhaps pushing the difficulty too far, but FromSoftware has made a harder game before.
No matter what the player chooses, however, once the Great Rune is broken,it’s best not to return to Moore until all six of the collectible Forager BroodCookbookshave been found. It is possible to return to Moore too early and lock oneself out of receiving the Forager Brood Cookbook normally offered by the Forager Brood member outside the Church, so players should ensure they have found as many of these collectibles as possible before they progress Moore’s quest.
That said, some Tarnished may prefer the kindlier option, and choose to tell Moore to cheer up. They’re not necessarily missing out on anything by doing so; they’re just making the eventual fight against Leda that much harder. The best choice is whatever makes sense to the player character inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
