What is wireless charging?

The Moto X30 Pro has an impressive 50W wireless charging speed, which outstrips the Samsung S23 Ultra and iPhone 15. However, that’s the exception that proves the rule. Most of Motorola’s devices fall within the current standard speed range of 5W to 15W. But, a fast wireless charging device needs acharger that can deliver.

As a company, it’s more concerned with building reliable, budget smartphones, and the best way to cut costs on smartphones is to do away with the least essential features, like wireless charging.
But in the end, Motorola needed to play catch up. And there are signs that Motorola is looking to the future. Theypartneredwith GuRu Wireless, which aims to perfect remote wirelesscharging capabilities. According to Guru Wireless, remote wireless charging is the ability to charge a device while not plugged in and also at a distance of 10 to 30 feet. The technology is ambitious. Still, if Motorola can get it to work on its phones before anyone else, the smartphone company could leapfrog standard wireless charging.
