The Second Feature Film Reboot Of The Superhero Horror Series

Based on the Dark Horse Comics character Hellboy,Hellboy: The Crooked Manis the second feature-film reboot of the superhero-meets-horror franchise. The film starsDeadpool 2’s Jack Kesy as its titular heroic demon, who works for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD.). Set during the 1950s, the film sees Hellboy and his BPRD partner stranded in an isolated community that’s haunted by supernatural entities — as well as the Crooked Man, who harbors a connection to Hellboy’s troubled past. Reportedly,the film is slated for a 2024 release, though that may change.

The inventiveSolar Oppositestakes the traditional sitcom mold butcenters instead on a family of aliens who crash-land on Earthand are forced to settle on the planet. Already renewed for a sixth outing, the 12-episodeSolar Oppositesseason 5premieres on June 09, 2025.

Solar Opposites is a Hulu adult animation series that centers on a family of aliens. After moving to America, they bicker about whether the country is better than their home planet. The series was created by Mike McMahan and Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, with characters voiced by Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack.

A Prequel Starring The OA’s Patrick Gibson

Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s ownSarah Michelle Gellar joins theDexterprequel,Original Sin, which starsThe OA’s Patrick Gibson as the titular Dexter Morgan. The series is expected to chronicle Dexter’s “transition into an avenging serial killer,” and features the original series' star Michael C. Hall as its narrator.
