How To Unlock The Viper Job
The Viper Trainer Comes to Ul’dah
While Viper is a part of theDawntrailexpansion, you do not need to actually progress to the new area of Tural or begin the campaign’s story. Instead, foreign representatives for the job have arrived in Eorzea. But there are still a few things that are needed to get the job:
While it is not a full requirement, it is advised that you have completed all theShadowbringersexpansion content before pursuing Viper. Doing so willgrant access to Zadnor, one of the best leveling zones for any job above 70. Otherwise, you will be severely over-leveled for most upcoming challenges.

Once the above is accounted for, head to Ul’dah Steps of Nald and speak toWorried Weaverat coordinates (X: 9.2, Y: 9.1). This will start the side questEnter the Viperand introduce the important NPC trainer,Keshkwa. He will do all the initial fighting, allowing you toaccess the job after a few non-combat cutscenes. However, to progress further with Keshkwa’s story and learn additional abilities, you must switch to Viper by equipping yourself with the first quest’s rewards.
