FigJam is Figma’s native collaborative digital whiteboard tool for non-designers and designers. Figma introduced its first AI tools in June 2023, and FigJam followed suit with its first AI features announced in November 2023.
What Are FigJam’s First AI Tools?
Figma introduced AI features to its design platform in mid-2023. TheDiagram for Figmafeatures were announced at Config 2023, Figma’s annual conference. While there were no announcements about FigJam receiving AI features, it was noted that more AI tools are expected across the board in the future.

One of the most popular methods of generating content using AI is the text prompt generator. FigJam uses OpenAI technology to generate helpful and streamlined features for its users.
FigJam’s most prominent AI tool is the AI generator box found by selecting theGenerate iconfound on the top left. Simply type in your requirements for the collaborative workspace, click onGenerate, and FigJam will deliver the results.

Figma hasn’t noted if the AI features will remain as part of the Free Forever model. If they are, you’ll still be limited by a maximum of 3 FigJam boards, though.
