Found Season 2 Trailer Reveals First Look At Vengeful Sir
Summary
Foundseason 2’s mystery character gets an effusive preview from showrunner and creator Nkechi Okoro Carroll. In its first installment, the NBC missing persons crime drama wastes little time in changing the status quo. By the finale, Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) has escaped the close watch of Gabi (Shanola Hampton). The kidnapper is back to his old tricks and seems more threatening than ever, as previewed by theFoundseason 2 teaser trailer.
New comments from Carroll toTVLinehint at what to expect fromFoundseason 2, which premieres Thursday, October 3 at 10 PM ET on NBC, particularly discussing the addition ofStation 19alum Danielle Savre. The role that Savre plays has not been disclosed. Carroll, who also executive produces the sports dramaAll American, nonetheless confirmed that the new addition interacts with almost all theFoundcast and praised Savre. Read the showrunner’s quote below:

The character is a lot of fun. We’ve loved having her on the show, and she’s loved playing it. I think she pretty much interacts with almost everyone on the show, which has been such a beautiful, fun energy to bring in. And she’s such an incredible talent. I leave it to the audience to decide how they feel about her [character]. But for me, it’s been pure joy.
Is Danielle Savre’s Found Season 2 Role Significant?
Perhaps her role is hidden for a reason.
Savre, who played Maya Bishop on the recently concludedGrey’s AnatomyspinoffStation 19, is not the only new actor boardingFoundseason 2, which streams on Peacock. Michael Cassidy and Dionne Gipson are both joining the series in recurring roles. Cassidy, recognizable for his role as Zach onThe O.C., will play a grief counselor with controversial ties to Gabi’s past. He shows up to help in more ways than one.
As for Gipson, who appeared in movies likeSweet Home Alabamaand shows likeNCIS,she’ll play another character that’s close to Gabi. Although that’s not much to go on, it’s still more than Savre. So far, theStation 19actor’s character details are being kept under wraps. And although purely speculative at this point, without anything to go on, it’s easy to imagine thatshe might somehow be related to Sir.

If the plan is to keep Sir on the show for at least a few seasons, despite his evil acts, one possible fix is to introduce a character that’s even worse, or at least situationally worse, and allow Sir to partially redeem himself. Although it wouldn’t turn Sir into a hero, it buysFoundenough time to expand on its original premise without having to lose Gosselaar. But that remains to be seen.
