In the opening moments ofFromseason 3, Tabitha Matthews wakes up in a hospital room — a real hospital room. Although she has some cuts and scrapes, Tabitha is in pretty good shape for someone who was just thrown out of a lighthouse keep.The doctor asks Tabitha a few questions, but the former Township resident knows to be evasive. After all, who would believe her story? The doctor tells Tabitha that the police are on their way to ask her some questions, but, before the police arrive, Tabitha sneaks out of the hospital to explore Camden, Maine.

From star Harold Perrineau teases that Boyd can never get a win in season 3, as well as confesses what is so scary about the show’s monsters.
Tabitha spots the mysterious Boy in White on a street corner. She calls after him, but, inFromfashion, the boy vanishes. Tabitha tries to track him down, but has little success. At a market, she borrows a young woman’s phone to call her mother. Tabitha’s mother, who’s understandably shocked and tearful, can’t believe she’s hearing her daughter’s voice.Tabitha assures her mother that everyone is okay, but that she needs to disappear for a little while longer. Although the phone call doesn’t confirm how much time has passed, it does seemingly clarify that Tabitha returned to the “right” world.

7Jim & Kenny Find Strange Statues & Cabins In The Woods
Against Boyd’s Advice, Jim & Kenny Search For Tabitha
In the wake of Tabitha’s disappearance, Victor (Scott McCord) returns to the Township, which prompts Ethan (Simon Webster), Tabitha’s son, to try and find her. Realizing that he needs to reunite his family, Jim Matthews tells Ethan to stay put while he scours the woods for Tabitha. Boyd points out that if Jim goes missing while looking for his wife, Ethan and Julie will be completely parentless and alone. Even so, Jim is persistent.Boyd gives Jim some advice, explaining where to take shelterwhen darkness falls. To Boyd’s surprise, his deputy, Kenny (Ricky He), offers to go with Jim.
…Kenny is much more skeptical of the strange encampment.
After saying a quick goodbye to his mom, Tian-Chen (Elizabeth Moy), Kenny gathers some supplies and joins Jim. The two men scour the woods for the cobwebs Boyd mentioned, but they find something much more haunting.Effigies and statues made of sticks, moss, stones, and leaves litter their path, leading the men to a ruined series of cottages. While Jim suggests they wait out the night in the stone cottage, Kenny is much more skeptical of the strange encampment. Feeling that they’re completely off course, Jim agrees to return to the town in the morning.
6Donna & Ellis Try To Harvest The Rest Of The Crops But It’s All Rotten
The Town Faces A Dire Food Shortage
InFromseason 2, a storm devastated many of the Colony House’s crops. This prompts Donna (Elizabeth Saunders) to round up her team to harvest the remaining food in the season 3 premiere. Pretty immediately, Donna sends Ellis (Corteon Moore) to fetch his father, Boyd. When the town sheriff arrives, he’s shocked to learn that the remaining vegetables in Donna’s garden are all rotten.Donna insists that there’s something wrong with the soil — that it’s “poisoned.“Since Colony House’s garden serves as the Township’s primary food source, a panic ensues, prompting the townspeople to raid the diner’s stores.

MGM+’s nightmarish series From has enjoyed a creepy three-season run thus far, and the terrifying show has been renewed for season 4.
Although Tian-Chen tries to reason with her fellow townspeople, they take everything they can get their hands on. Boyd, Tian-Chen, and Donna meet to discuss the dire food shortage. The town’s leadership comes to the realization that the town’s livestock are their best chance at survival. Unfortunately, Randall (A.J. Simmons) has also had this same revelation.Ethan catches Randall trying to steal a goat from the town enclosure. Although Boyd manages to deescalate the conflict, it’s clear that the food shortage is going to play a massive role inFromseason 3.

The Symbol Continues To Plague Jade’s Every Thought
In theFromseason 2 finale, Jade (David Alpay) dealt with his fair share of scares. Since season 1, the former tech mogul has been obsessed with the town’s strange symbol — the one that’s inscribed on the talismans that ward off the monsters. Throughout the sophomore outing, Jade has dreams of the symbol, eventually realizing that the very sight of it drove a former resident to commit heinous acts. While exploring the town’s tunnels in the finale, Jade stumbles into a clearing that’s filled with rock slabs.The children from Tabitha’s visions appear on the slabs, pointing skyward.
Fromseason 3 might just be when Jade finally snaps.
As the children writhe and repeat “anghkooey,” the strange word from Tabitha’s visions, Jade follows their pointing hands. Overhead, he spots the symbol.Composed of massive, twisted tree roots, the symbol loomsover the cave’s opening. The whole scene looks a lot like a setup for a ritual. In season 3, Jade is still haunted by what he experienced in the show’s sophomore outing. Boyd finds Jade lying on the ground of the town bar, yarn and clothing twisted above him as he clutches drawings of the symbol.Fromseason 3 might just be when Jade finally snaps.
4Tabitha Discovers Victor’s Old Address In His Lunchbox
A Man Who Appears To Be Victor’s Father Recognizes The Lunchbox
Meanwhile, in the real world, Tabitha heads to a church for guidance. Feeling the need to speak with someone, Tabitha enters the confessional room and explains what’s weighing on her to the local priest. On her way out, Tabitha is confronted by the priest, who asks her more about her late child, Thomas. The priest’s questions are a little off; it’s strange that he would follow someone and break the confidence of their confession, though he claims he’s just trying to help her weather the personal tragedy. Exasperated,Tabitha tells the priest about the lighthouse and the Boy in White.
Tabitha assumes the man is Victor’s father, though his age doesn’t seem quite right for that.

Undeterred, he asks Tabitha about the lunchbox she’s toting around. She explains that a man named Victor packed her a snack before she entered the tree and lighthouse. The priest asks Tabitha to humor her and open the lunchbox. Inside,Tabitha notices that a young Victor wrote his home address in the lunchbox— his home address in Camden, Maine. Tabitha tracks down Victor’s childhood home and finds a man there. Although he isn’t interested in talking, he’s clearly shocked to see the lunchbox. Tabitha assumes the man is Victor’s father, though his age doesn’t seem quite right for that.
The Character’s Prophetic Visions Continue In From Season 3
Although Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons) doesn’t have a huge role inFromseason 3’s premiere, Donna does point out that the young man hasn’t slept much since almost drowning in his sleep. Before arriving in the town via bus, Elgin was plagued by prophetic dreams of the Township. Now, he’s haunted by the image of a dead woman with bloated skin, suggesting yet another watery connection. An exhaustedElgin drifts in and out of visions during the premiereand, even though much doesn’t come from it, the apparition of the dead woman will clearly figure into season 3’s plot.
From Season 3’s New Monsters Tease Is Great News For Solving The Horror Show’s 2-Year-Old Villain Mystery
A new tease about the monsters being introduced in From season 3 bodes well for the show’s long-standing villain mystery to finally be solved.
Elsewhere at Colony House, Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) grapples with an unexpected pregnancy. That plot point isn’t something viewers have witnessed yet inFrom— and, generally speaking, everyone seems surprised that pregnancy is possible in a place like the Township. Although Ellis tries to be supportive of what Fatima is going through, it does seem like Fatima’s pregnancy might be more complicated than most, likely because the town lingers in a strange purgatory between life and death.AlthoughElgin’s visions and Fatima’s pregnancy may be unrelated,it’s worth noting that Tillie (Deborah Grover) crops up in both plotlines.

2The Monsters Open The Animal Pens & Barn Doors
Boyd, Tian-Chen, Victor & Jade Try To Round The Animals Up At Night
In one ofFromseason 3, episode 1’s most terrifying moments,the monsters descend on the Township’s barn and tables and release the animals. As mentioned previously, the livestock are the townspeople’s best chance at survival now that the diner has been raided and Colony House’s crops have rotted. The monsters seem to know this and, more than in other seasons, are taking bold actions to mess with the townspeople. After releasing the cows, goats, and sheep into the streets, the monsters lie in wait for Boyd and others to notice that their primary food source is on the run.

While chatting with Jade, who was moved to the police station for observation, Boyd notices the cows and other livestock roving the streets. Knowing that the release of the animals could completely decimate the town’s odds of survival, Boyd races into the streets. Jade, Victor, and Tian-Chen all join Boyd, putting their lives on the line for everyone else. The monsters also manage to break into the Matthews' home, sending Ethan and Julie running for shelter on Randall’s bus. Although one of the monsters slits a cow’s throat,Victor and Jade usher the sheep and goats into the bar.

Unfortunately, Boyd and Tian-Chen aren’t as lucky as Jade and Victor. With just one cow left alive, the duo lead the cow to the barn as the monsters close in on them. Although Boyd and Tian-Chen manage to get the cow inside and install the talisman, the barn is a trap. Several monsters are lying in wait, ready to attack the duo. In a horrifying and deeply saddening twist,the monsters decide to torture and kill Tian-Chen in front of Boyd as a way of making the sheriff suffer.

In the second season’s finale, Boyd tells the monsters that they won’t be able to break him. Afterward, Boyd destroys the strange music box. Now, the monsters seem to be out to prove Boyd wrong. Feeling taunted by Boyd, the monsters have become bold enough to mess with the townspeople’s survival more directly. Plus, in an even more sinister twist, they’re attempting to break Boyd by harming those he cares about. The loss of Tian-Chen is devastating no matter what, butit’s even more tragic that Kenny is in the woods when it happensinFrom’s season 3 premiere.
