According to details shared by CBS, Puritan Patience died in the late 1600s. But, while alive, even by Puritan standards, she was extremely judgmental, so Patience was expelled from her village. The new recurring spirit is played by a familiar face, as Holland has had memorable guest turns inVeep,Brooklyn Nine-Nine,New Girl, andThe Good Place, among many other comedies.
