Gundam Assemble, the upcoming Gundam-themed tabletop game, just announced its release window, and it’s further out than anticipated. Last year, Bandai shocked the tabletop worldby announcingGundam Assemble, a brand-new miniature skirmish game involving small teams of miniature Gunpla models. Given the popularity of theGundamfranchise, anticipation for the game was high. But while the game will release tie-in products to this year’sGundam TCG, it turns out that the full release forGundam Assembleis further out than originally thought.
According to the officialGundam Assemble Instagram page, the game won’t fully release until 2026. Although some of theGundam TCGStarter Decks will include a limited selection of miniatures when they’re released this summer,it turns out they won’t be usable forGundam Assemblefor quite some time.

However, theGundam Assemble miniatures can also be used as tokens for the Gundam TCG, offering a 3D aspect to the new game. No further details about the upcoming release were announced, although that’s to be expected since there’s a year or longer until the game comes out.

Our Take: Gundam Assemble Will Be Worth The Wait
We’ll Just Have To Wait A Little Longer Than Anticipated For This New Game
Gundam Assemble is probably the tabletop game I’m most looking forward to. I can’t wait to build and paint the Gundams and ultimately put them down on the table to battle other Gundams. While a 2026 release date is a bit disappointing, I’m confident this game will be huge and successful. After all, the Gunpla hobby is huge, and miniatures skirmish games are growing in popularity.Gundam Assemblelooks to be a perfect combination of both.
