A new update on aHonkai: Star Railleak has been shared, hinting at what may be terrible news for the main character known as Trailblazer. While the protagonist of the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse has just received their third form in the Penacony story arc, there are rumors about which element and Path they will use in the future. The first leaks about them mentioned that the next form they would embrace after becoming theHarmony Trailblazer inHonkai: Star Railwould be that of a Remembrance character, transforming a currently non-playable Path into a playable one.
However, there has been an update on the leak, which may prove to be terrible. According to information obtained by the leaker known as Ubatcha, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” onReddit, the original report by HomDGCat may have had mixed up information between Aglaea and the Remembrance Trailblazer. The leaker mentions that Aglaea is using placeholder information, whilethe new version of the main character will instead be Ice Destruction. If this is true, the hopes for a new playable Path inHonkai: Star Railmay have just ended.

The Rumors Of A New Playable Path In HSR Sounded Promising
The alleged new update on the previous leak comes as disappointing news. This is because the prospect of a new playable Path sounded great, especially due to all the new gameplay and lore possibilities that would come along with it.Remembrance is currently only usable as a Blessing in the Simulated Universe, but its intense focus on the Frozen status could have made exciting new team comp structures. Additionally, it would have been a great way to expand the Aeons’ lore inHonkai: Star Rail.

Furthermore, the supposed Ice Destruction form of the Trailblazer is quite terrible for other reasons. The first is that the Trailblazer already has a Destruction form. While the character could operate significantly differently with a new element in hand,it would have been better to see the main character taking on yet another Path rather than repeating themselves. Ideally, the Trailblazer would have varied forms with different Paths and elements, without repeating any of them. The second is that this poses a big gameplay threat toJingliu inHonkai: Star Rail.
As demonstrated by the comments in the Reddit post, there is a chance that the rumored Ice Destruction Trailblazer will be a powercreep to Jingliu, who is a premium 5-star Ice Destruction character. With the Trailblazer’s F2P (free-to-play) status and the possibility of increasing their Eidolon levels to the maximum without spending anything, there is a chance that the main character’s new rumored form will make Jingliu useless to pull for.
There are comments mentioning the possibility that the Trailblazer will follow the Remembrance but use Destruction, much like Argenti follows the Beauty and uses the Erudition.
For now, the leaks about the new Remembrance Trailblazer or their Ice Destruction form should be taken with an extra grain of salt. These leaks sound extremely early and not only are they possibly incorrect but also highly subject to change before the final design is concluded. For now, the game is pushing away from Penacony and moving back toward the Xianzhou Alliance inHonkai: Star Rail2.4, as developer HoYoverse is being heavily criticized due to the lack of racial diversity in its games’ characters, mainlyGenshin Impact.
