Deadpool & Wolverine’s Worst Wolverine Variant Says He’s 200 Years Old

Early on inDeadpool & Wolverine, Deadpool learns that he cannot bring the Wolverine of his timeline back following his death inLogan, so he travels to various universes, seeking other Wolverine variants to serve as hisMarvel universe’s new anchor. The Wolverine he manages to capture suffers from the guilt of having failed to save his X-Men and is considered to be the “worst” Wolverine variant by the TVA. Despite this,he shares many key traits with other Wolverine variants, including, seemingly, their age range.

During one of his many arguments with Deadpool, the “worst”Wolverine notes that he is 200 years old. Given that Wolverine’s powers keep him in his physical prime, it might be difficult to determine what his actual age is, but the Logan variant’s enraged dialogue indicates that he is around the same age as his counterpart in Deadpool’s universe. There is a slight discrepancy between the two, however.

If the Wolverine ofDeadpool & Wolverineis actually 200, he is not fully aligned with the iteration from Deadpool’s reality, but he might have been simply rounding up for simplicity’s sake during his argument with Deadpool. Deadpool’s multiversal travels also may place him at different points on the timelines of the realities he visited, so he might have encountered this Wolverine variant in his universe’s 2032 inDeadpool & Wolverine.
It is also unclear how the film’s timeline ties intoLogansinceDeadpool & Wolverinetakes place in 2024, whereas Logan died in 2029. Assuming Deadpool’s original timeline is the same as the one fromLoganand all the post-X-Men: Days of Future Pastfilms, it is strange how Deadpool talks about the events ofLoganas if they have already happened. That said, the death of the anchor of Deadpool’s universe was likely having a ripple effect that affected the past, present, and future at the same time.
