How to Use Splice to Edit Your Videos
Because Splice is so easy to use, it doesn’t take much to work to edit a project from start to finish. In fact, once you open the project, all the features are only one or two taps away.
1. Begin a New Project
To start a new project, open the app, and tap on theNew Projectplus sign icon underMy Projects. From there, select the video you want to edit. You can select more than one if you need to merge multiple videos together.
After you’ve chosen your videos, title your project andchoose your video’s aspect ratio. you may select a social media ratio or keep scrolling to the right for traditional ratios.

2. Edit Your Video
To make adjustments to the video, tap on the video strip and the editing options will appear at the bottom of the screen.
To trim videos, tap theTrimicon and slide the beginning and end toggles to where you want your video to begin and end.

If you want to use multiple parts of the same video while cutting the rest, tap theSpliticon. Just make sure the playhead is where you want the split to happen before doing this.
3. Add Effects and Elements
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find theText,Audio,Overlay, andEffectstabs. With these features, you can add sound effects, titles, stickers, and filters. All you have to do is tap on each of the categories to see what is offered.
When adding text, you’ll need to tap onTextand type in the words. Then you may choose the font, color, and any other options to make it unique for your video.
4. Export Your Project
To export your project, tap on theExportbutton in the top right-hand corner of the screen. From there, you’re able to choose yourResolution,File Format, andFramesPerSecond. When you are done, hitExport Video.
When it’s done exporting, you’re able to find it in your Photos app. You also have the option toSharethe video straight to a handful of social media platforms.
