You may want to hide specific slides in your slide deck if you’re presenting to different audiences, and certain details may be irrelevant to them. When you hide slides, they don’t appear during a slideshow or when you export your entire slide deck to, let’s say, a PDF format.
This article will guide you on how to hide and unhide slides and how to reveal hidden slides during your slideshow presentation (after a last-minute change of mind).

How to Hide a Slide in PowerPoint
You can hide a slide in either the normal or slide sorter view. By default, PowerPoint opens in the normal view. So to hide a slide in this view, find the slide in the slide pane on the left, right-click on it, and selectHide Slide.
Notice how the hidden slide appears more transparent in the slide pane with a strikethrough in the slide number.

you’re able to follow the same process in the slide sorter view, as shown in the image below. Right-click on a slide and selectHide Slide.
If you end upconverting your PowerPoint presentation to Google Slides, the process forhiding a slide in Google Slidesfollows a similar process.

How to Hide Multiple Slides in PowerPoint
you may also hide multiple slides at a go. First, you need to select all the slides you want to hide.
If the slides are adjacent to each other, click the top slide, press theShiftkey on your keyboard, and select the bottom slide. Now right-click on any of the selected slides and selectHide Slide.

And if the slides are non-adjacent, select the first slide, press theCtrlkey on your keyboard, and select the other slides you want to hide. When you’re done, right-click on any of the selected slides and selectHide Slide.
How to Unhide a Slide in PowerPoint
Unhiding slides follows the same process as hiding them. The only difference is that when you right-click on a hidden slide, you select theUnhide Slideoption.
How to Show a Hidden Slide During a Slideshow Presentation
Whether your slideshow is displayed in full view or presenter view, the process for showing a hidden slide is the same. Right-click on your current slide and selectShow all sides.
From this view, click on the hidden slide to show it to your audience.

This method doesnotunhide a hidden slide (like the previous methods), it only shows it to your audience. In addition, your audience won’t see you making the switch—all they’ll see is a display of the hidden slide after you’ve clicked on it.
