How to Restart Your HomePod Manually

Whether you’re attempting to diagnose some of themost common HomePod problemsor experiencing a rare bug, restarting your speaker should always be your first troubleshooting step. Restarting your HomePod will give it a fresh start, and in most cases, it will make your troublesome issue disappear.

However, since Apple’s HomePod models lack physical buttons on the device, you’ll need to resort to an old-fashioned method to restart your smart speaker. For the original HomePod and HomePod mini, this means removing it from your power source by unplugging it from the outlet on your wall.
