Summary
The Showtime television seriesYour Honorbrought an interesting reunion back on screen from another hit television show.Your Honorfollows a respected judgewhose son is involved in a hit-and-run, and the details of the incident lead to a web of deceitful lies in and outside the courtroom. The life of crime is not an easy one to go down with, as this show proves, but its themes and stories emulate those of the other hit television series, especially since the actors that reunited have a similar character dynamic in both shows.
Twocharacters inYour Honorare also featured inBreaking Bad, an Emmy-winning series, and their meet-up was indeed great for those who are fans. However, the interaction was brief, to say the least, and by brief, I mean around the one-minute mark. I do wishYour Honor’sBreaking Badreunion lasted more than a minute, but as a crazed fan of the hit Emmy series, I will take any crumbs I can get, especially since the two actors had such great chemistry in both shows.

Bryan Cranston’s 10 Best Roles, Ranked
Bryan Cranston has undoubtedly mastered his craft, and these 10 roles perfectly exemplify his exceptional talent.
InYour Honorseason two, there’s a moment wheretwoBreaking Badactorsare seen together on screen, actors whose characters in the Emmy-winning show weren’t best friends but were allies when times were dire. The reunion was between Bryan Cranston and Mark Margolis, Cranston, who plays a respected judge, Michael, and Margolis, who plays a crime boss. Their roles inYour Honorinterestingly reflect their roles inBreaking Bad, since their characters in both shows have an intriguing dynamic in the crime world, and I felt like I was dreaming when I saw their reunion.

Cranston and Margolis’ similar character dynamics in both shows make their reunion that much more exciting.
InBreaking Bad, Cranston plays Walter White, a chemistry teacher-turned-meth cook after learning about his terminal and pocket-emptying lung cancer, a job that takes him further and further into the cartel world. Margolis plays Hector Salamanca, the patriarch of the Salamanca cartel family, who has tiffs with Walter all throughout the show.Their feud, however, is mended due to a common enemy, and Walter and Hector work together to take down powerhouse Gus Fring -one of the bestBreaking Badmoments- so Cranston and Margolis’ similar character dynamics in both shows make their reunion that much more exciting.

The interaction between Cranston and Margolis was short and sweet, but I really wish they had more screen time together inYour Honor. Not only do their character dynamics in theBreaking Badtimelinereflect an interesting concept - the enemy of my enemy is my friend - butthe actors had great chemistry together in their scenes in both shows, portraying the intense fine line between good and bad. Margolis’ crime boss character didn’t interact much with Michael, which I believe is a total bummer, because bringing those two actors back together would have been a peak.
As much as I would love to see Cranston and Margolis in upcoming projects, it simply isn’t possible.Your Honorseason three will never happensince it was canceled, and not only that, but Mark Margolis passed away in 2023, sowe won’t see theBreaking Badstars act together again. Despite their short-lived reunion inYour Honor, I was thrilled to see them on screen together one last time, as I’m sure allBreaking Badfans did, and I will certainly take what I can get and enjoy theYour Honor/Breaking Badreunion as much as I can.
Your Honor’s moment between Bryan Cranston and Mark Margolis was a great service and homage to their characters inBreaking Bad. Since the characters in both shows are involved in the intricacies and dangers of the crime world, it makes thedynamics between their roles that much more interesting to seewhat qualities are similar or differ from each show. I wish theBreaking Badreunion inYour Honorlasted more than just a minute, but I will certainly take what I can get and be grateful I saw these two great actors on screen together one last time.
