InGreen Arrow #14by Joshua Williamson, Amancay Nahuelpan, and Sean Izaakse,Team Arrow receives atransmission from Batman and Nightwing informing them of the Waller situation and Oliver Queen’s involvement. Arsenal volunteers to join the cause but Batman rejects his offer, telling Roy and everyone else to stay on the island.
Batman and Nightwing justify the decision, saying that Team Arrow was spared for a reason and that Oliver could be watching them. Batman also tells Green Arrow’s family that if the heroes who haven’t been captured yet fall,it’s up to Team Arrow to stop Amanda Waller.
Team Arrow is the Justice League’s Last Line of Defense
After months apart from his family, Green Arrow finally came back home, only to find things not like he left them. The Justice League had disbanded and Amanda Waller had been secretly manipulating him from the shadows. Oliver Queen confronted Waller, who gave him a surprising offer: Working with her in her upcoming war in exchange for his family’s safety. Queen accepted the offer and retrieved and delivered the Justice League’s Sanctuary files to her. With his family safe, Green Arrow did the unthinkable and actually joined Waller’s crusadeto de-power and incarcerate the DC Universe’s metahumans.
As much as Roy doesn’t want to hear it, Batman has a point. Green Arrow struck a deal to keep everyone in Oliver’s orbit out of Waller’s plans. Right now, things are looking dire. Heroes as powerful as Superman and Wonder Woman have lost their special abilities, and those who haven’t been brought in by Waller’s forces are on the run with no powers to help them. Save for Black Canary, Team Arrow doesn’t have powers, just skills that the Amazos can’t take away. If things get worse,Green Arrow’s allies are the only ones who can stop Amanda Waller.

Things are tense among Team Arrow right now, with many of its members hurt that Oliver has seemingly betrayed them. But they were kept safe for a reason and Batman knows that the team isn’t just a group of martial artists and archers. They’re heroes who have faced huge challenges and overcome them when needed. Sure, things look grim right now, but Team Arrow thrives on improvisation and quick thinking. They might not be doing things the wayBatmanwants, but Team Arrow just might be the ones to help theJustice Leagueout of this war.
