Summary
Ever since the first game in the series,The Simshas been a franchise where players can unleash their imagination, creating giant houses or structures of their own design or recreating those seen in their favorite movies and TV shows. Essentially, with the right items to hand, the possibilities could be fairly endless as players went about creating their own unique lots.
One creation that has left the community in awe isnadjachase’s functional cruise ship, which they built upon the tropical island of Sulani, which was added as part of the 2019Island Livingexpansion pack. As explained by Nadjachase in a comment below the post,the ship was created without using any custom content, using a debug item in the form of an empty container ship before building all of the rooms on top of it.
Debug items can be unlocked by enabling cheats. To do this, they must do one of the following:
HoldCOMMAND + SHIFT + C(Mac)
Holdall four triggers(Console)
From there, players must entertestingcheats trueand hitEnterto lock in the command. Then, enterbb.showHiddenObjectsto activate the Buy Debug Mode in the Build/Buy menu. It is then possible to usebb.showLiveEditObjectsto unlock even more debug items.
The build took nadjachase months to complete, but the end result was certainly worth it! The cruise ship features three “romantic cabins” with a balcony and a skylight, and Sims are also invited to enjoy the spa and visit the restaurant on board the ship. That’s not where the features end, however, as Sims can come ashore to visit a souvenir and coffee shop, along with a food stall.
Custom Content (often abbreviated as CC) are essentially mods created byThe Sims' community, such as new hair, clothing, etc.

The impressive cruise ship creation can be downloaded throughThe Sims 4’s Gallery, where players are able toshare their unique creations for others to downloadand explore within their own game. To do this, players mustlog into the gallery with their EA account and then search for the EA ID “SassyShrew9716” or “Cruise Ship Spa.”
Of course, this has led to otherThe Simsplayers stating their desire for a full cruise or boat expansion for the game, with ManicCoffeeDrinker noting thatsuch an expansion would work extremely well withIsland Living’s Sulani and the various Pirate outfits availablefor Sims in the game. While the debug items are great fun to use and bring so much more potential to the game, nadjachase acknowledged that they wished they could have made the cruise ship a bit bigger with more cabins, but the lot was too small, so such an expansion could go a long way in remedying this.
Time will tell if EA does eventually introduce such an expansion, but there is already plenty of content that could compliment it nicely. Until then, nadjachase’sCruise Ship Spais certainly worth downloading forThe Sims 4players who want their Sims to have a luxury getaway.
