Mark’s Suit Is An Important Tease For His Invincible Season 3 Arc

Fans of theInvinciblecomicshave been eagerly awaiting to see Mark in his dark blue-and-black superhero suit after season 2’s title cards began teasing the possibility of his donning it. Introduced in Issue No. 50 of Kirkman’s source material, the new suit was created by Art as Mark requested both a new suit for himself and his younger brother Oliver, who would go on in the comics to become Kid Omni-Man. At the same time, this served as a turning point for Mark as he entered one of his darkest eras of heroism, namely by refusing to pull his punches and killing many characters along the way.

Invincible Season 2’s 10 Biggest Changes To The Comics

Invincible typically sticks pretty close to the source material, but these 10 comic book changes had a big impact on Invincible season 2.

Season 2 already laid much of the groundwork for this eventual transformation inInvincibleseason 3, particularly with the introduction of Oliver. It was also explained in the prior season that due to his shared Viltrumite and Thraxan DNA, he ages quicker than most humans, but slower than the average Thraxan, which will put him close to Mark’s age very quickly. While it’s unclear if season 3 will go right into his Kid Omni-Man era, it seems likely to happen sooner than later due to this quick aging process.

Mark’s dark side was also a key point in season 2’s storytelling, with the finale delivering one of his darkest moments as he brutally killed Angstrom Levy with his bare fists. Though it seems possible thatInvincibleseason 3 will see himshowing some remorse for this kill, it could also evolve into the comic book arc of Mark being a more ruthless hero, and subsequently falling out with the Global Defense Agency, with whom he has frequently had issues with in the past. WithInvincibleseason 4 also on the horizon, though, it will be interesting to see if Kirkman and co. save this arc for later episodes.
