X-Men ‘97 Season 2: Characters, Story & Everything We Know
X-Men ‘97 Season 1 is now available on Disney Plus, and here is everything we know about Season 2’s characters, story details, and more.
Who Could X-Men ‘97’s Anchor Being Be?
An anchor being is a crucial character in their universe, and when they die, their world slowly begins to die. With that in mind, it definitely begs the question of who that character may be in the world ofX-Men ‘97/X-Men: The Animated Series. After season 1 of the Disney+ sequel show, there are a handful of key candidates who could possibly fill that role.
Given the massive love that exists with Gambit, it wouldn’t be shocking if he is this world’s anchor being, especially as his death inX-Men ‘97season 1 had a huge effect on most of the characters. That is why if the tease at the end of theX-Men ‘97season 1 finalewith Apocalypse would be devastating if Gambit ends up being resurrected as one of his Horsemen. It would also be a bigger heartbreak if Gambit has to die again, which could then put emphasis on him possibly being the anchor being.

While her time in season 1 was cut short,Madelyne Pryor was another mutant who died and could potentially have that role. Whether or not the anchor being concept will be further expanded upon inX-Men ‘97season 2remains to be seen, as it may not be a plot point that doesn’t get addressed until season 3. Until then, the Marvel audience can relieve every episode ofX-Men ‘97season 1 on Disney+.
Deadpool & Wolverineis set to open in theaters on July 26.
