InSuperman #16by Joshua Williamson and Jamal Campbell, Clark has been de-powered and is fighting for his life after being shot. Thankfully, Superman is safe in the Fortress of Solitude. Back home however, Jimmy Olsen, Silver Banshee,Lex and Lena Luthorare at SuperCorp, looking for anything that can help.
Unfortunately, waiting for the team are Peacemaker, Peacewrecker, and several Task Force agents. The team prepares to dispatch the crew and apprehend Lex. But the gang is rescued byLois Lane, wearing one of Lex’s old armors, who tells the team to suit up and prepare for war.
Lois Lane Has Her Very Own Super Armor
When Lex Luthor went to prison, he willingly signed over his empire to the Man of Steel to show that Lex was prepared to do good for the world. The business, now Supercorp, provided Clark with anything he needed from armor to weapons, all pioneered by Lex when he was running the show. Though Superman doubted Lex was being earnest, Clark’s longtime nemesis was genuine and the two began doing great work for Metropolis and beyond.Lex’s tech has come through for Superman, even when Clark was poisoned by kryptonite and was on death’s door.
Tony Stark might have the final say when it comes to designing impressive armors, but Lex’s suits have made the difference between life and death here. Lois has always been incredibly quick-witted and she had the amazing foresight to head straight to Supercorp and don one of Lex’s armors before anyone else. Now, in a world where heroes are being drained of their abilities, Lois has some serious firepower on her side. Not only that, butLois Lane is encouraging her friends to do the same thing, hopefully, to help the heroes out in their time of need.
Lois Lane is Gonna Save Superman This Time
Superman might be the usual hero in his and Lois' dynamic. But Clark has no abilities to his name and Lois is the one with the powerful suit of armor. She, and whoever else suits up, are going to make all the difference. Will Lex’s suits be able to stand up to Waller’s forces? The chances aren’t great. But against low-level enforcers like Peacemaker and the rest of the faceless agents?
