Summary
Galadriel’s look fromThe Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Poweris recreated with a great amount of accuracy in an impressive new cosplay. Taking place thousands of years before Frodo’s quest to destroy the One Ring, the hit Prime Video fantasy series introduces Morfydd Clark as a younger version of Galadriel, a character first played by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson’sThe Lord of the Ringstrilogy. Clark’s Galadriel, who is more of a warrior and more hot-headed, is next set to return to play a prominent role inThe Rings of Powerseason 2.
Ahead of the release of season 2,@cosplay.valkyrierecreates a key Galadriel look fromThe Rings of Powerseason 1. Check it out below:

The cosplay recreates Galadriel’s armor featured in season 1 with a stunning level of detail, and the hairstyle, too, is very similar to Clark’s. The sword may not be a replica of Galadriel’s, but, as an ensemble, the cosplay certainly looks convincing and formidable.
Galadriel’s Warrior Side Will Return In The Rings Of Power Season 2
The Fight Against Sauron For Middle-earth Heats Up
One major change from Jackson’sLord of the RingsinThe Rings of Powerseason 1 is that Galadriel hasn’t yet become the ethereal, poised queen of Lothlórien that many viewers were familiar with. As a younger Elf, Clark’s Galadriel is instead much more of a warrior. The character engages in some major action sequences in season 1, but theRings of Powerseason 1 finalecertainly sets Galadriel up to bring back her warrior persona in a big way in season 2.
LOTR: What If Galadriel Took The One Ring (How Powerful Would She Be?)
Galadriel dreamed of claiming the One Ring and replacing Sauron as Lord of Middle-earth, but she resisted the temptation. What if she hadn’t in LOTR?
With Halbrand having revealed himself to be Sauron after deceiving Galadriel and the rest of theRings of Powercastthroughout season 1, season 2 will see the character becoming more powerful and spreading darkness across Middle-earth. TheRings of Powerseason 2 trailer has already teased that Sauron will be building up Mordor and adopting a disguise in order to forge the titular rings with Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards), meaningGaladriel and her companions likely have major battles ahead of them.

At least one of these battles has already been teased by showrunners Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne. In a recent interview withEmpire, the pair promise amulti-episode battle inThe Rings of Powerseason 2, an event that is sure to involve Galadriel suiting up in her armor once more. It remains to be seen how Galadriel will continue to evolve in Prime Video’sLord of the Ringsshow, but audiences are evidently in for more of her warrior side.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerseason 2 premieres on Prime Video on August 29.
