How The Superman & Lois Season 4 Teaser Sets Up The Death Of Superman
It feels safe to say that the footage that was released looks to be fromSuperman & Loisseason 4, episode 1, although whether or not the battle continues in episode 2 remains to be seen. The CW is not hiding the fact that they are, in one way or another, doingThe Death of Superman, with possibly some alterations forSuperman & Lois’continuity. The footage appears to take place some time long into their battle, which could be followed directly by Superman’s passing once Doomsday is defeated.
The bigger question, however, is how the show will approach Superman’s resurrection and whether or not any variation of theReign of Supermenwill be explored inSuperman & Loisseason 4. With only ten episodes for their final season, Superman’s rebirth may get a very different setup, with perhaps some nods to the comic book arc. But based on the footage for this scene alone,Superman & Loisseason 4 will definitely pull the heartstrings of the viewers.
SinceSuperman & Loisseason 4 will have a double-sized premiere, it will be interesting to see how they tackleThe Death of Supermanarc throughout the final season.
