Blizzard has brought back one of, if not the most, sought-after mounts to ever make an appearance inWorld of Warcraft, but some fans are less than thrilled about the price tag and availability. While most mounts brought to the in-game shop get fans excited, this one hits home in a few ways that have players frustrated.

The Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur is the latest mount to hit the in-game shop, and while normally mounts that come and go hold value for their appearance, this one brings utility that many OG fans will remember. The Brutosaur comes with both an Auction House auctioneer and a mailbox, making it perfect for gold farmers to use while roaming the world. Though this should be celebrated, there are a few key reasons why the return of an Auction House mount has some fans in an uproar.

But At What Cost?

Most mounts that come to the in-game shop cost a decent chunk of change, but the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur is one of the most expensive items to ever make its way to the storefront.Costing a whopping $90 USD,fans are both excited and upset that what was once a major feat inWorld of Warcraftcan now be purchased with actual cash, and this new version of the mount is better than the original.

World Of Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary Event Is Solving Your FOMO Over Missed Mount

World of Warcraft is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with numerous events, but there’s also a chance to get an incredibly rare mount again.

The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur came with auctioneers, which for gold farmers was a major advantage. This new version of the “Auction House mount” comes with a mailbox as well, making it a powerhouse for those playing the Auction Houseor sending gear and other materials to alternate characters. While most would think this would be praised, a plethora of fans are disappointed in Blizzard for taking what was once an achievement and a gold medal for hard work and dedication and putting a price tag on it.

Our Take: From Huge Achievement To Massive Pay Wall

You Can’t Put A Price On Hard Work..Or Can You?

As an avidWorld of Warcraftplayer who spent countless hours attempting to stack gold to get this mount, this is slightly upsetting. Having the original Brutosaur was like carrying around a rideable gold medal, andmaking it $90 USD without any form of achievement needed, or hard work is going to take the economy down. With the new Gilded Brutosaur being purchasable with real-life money, players are going to buy and resell WoW Tokens by the hundreds, since they can be traded back to Blizzard for actual cash. This is going to make the price of said WoW Tokens skyrocket, if they haven’t already.

Some fans are poking fun at Blizzard for this choice, saying they are going to hit the jackpot by releasing this mount for such a steep price. Those who remember how popular this mount was in its prime know that hardcore, and even new players, will want to get their hands on it before it’s gone. Though there have been plenty of very fun and cool releases during theWorld of Warcraft20th anniversary event, this is one that players won’t soon forget, and only time will tell what effects it has on the economy and some long-time players' hearts.
