During a panel led by Jo Deckelmeier at FAN EXPO Canada, for whichScreen Rantis a media partner, Rosario Dawson spoke about Ahsoka Tano’s journey inAhsokaseason 1 and her hopes for the upcoming second season. Specifically, Dawson said:

Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka

“I think I’m hoping that there’s some levity and some lightness that can kind of come to her. I really liked that kind of spunky energy she had when she first came on the scene. I know that rubbed some people the wrong way, but I really dug that. Natasha very much has that spirit and form. So, I would really like to be able to play with that a little bit. But I love it because Dave compares the sort of evolution of Ahsoka very much in the frame of Gandalf. And it’s incredible to experience someone with that kind of level of expertise and power still have places to evolve to and transform to, and as he does it, he becomes lighter, and the spirit, and there’s more smiles. It’s funny, and that’s kind of what I would love.”

Clearly, Dawson was as big a fan of Ahsoka’s so-called ‘Ahsoka the White’ arc in season 1 as many viewers were, and her aspirations forAhsokaseason 2 reflect how this story could get even better.

The 11 Most Exciting Ahsoka Season 2 Theories

The Star Wars Disney+ TV show Ahsoka is in the works, and these 11 Ahsoka season 2 theories represent the most exciting opportunities for the show.

How Will Ahsoka The White Differ To Ahsoka The Grey?

Ahsoka’s transformation inAhsokaseason 1 was considerable, and it went far beyond an outfit change. Rather, the white garments Ahsoka put on following her time inthe World Between Worldsreflected her inner change in the wake of confronting her past. Specifically, in the World Between Worlds, Ahsoka came face-to-face with her former master, Anakin Skywalker, and finally had to process what had come of him and their relationship. In the end, she did so, finally freeing her to take on the title of ‘Jedi’ after years of resisting that label.

Now,Ahsokaseason 2 will reveal what this really means for the character. In truth, Ahsoka has never been shown as a full-fledged Jedi before. ThroughoutStar Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka remained a Padawan and, notably, she walked away from the Jedi Order before passing her trials and becoming a Jedi Knight. Although she ended up being one ofthe survivors of Order 66, she resisted the idea that she was a Jedi, so much so that she famously told Darth Vader"I am no Jedi"inStar Wars Rebels.

However, as Ahsoka the White, Ahsoka’s full Jedi potential may finally be revealed. As she is now on Peridea with the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker (and with Sabine Wren), this truly could mean a new era for Ahsoka’s character. Of course, what this could look like remains to be seen, but it nevertheless suggests a thrilling update to Ahsoka Tano’s story in the upcomingAhsokaseason 2. What makes this even better is that, clearly, Rosario Dawson is just as enthusiastic about Ahsoka’s development throughout theAhsokashow, and she shares many viewers' hopes for the second season.
