Milchick Is Likely Trying To Manipulate Dylan With Severance’s Outie Family Visitation Suite Plans

He Only Shows The Blueprints To Dylan

InSeveranceseason 2’s first episode, Milchick shows Dylan the blueprints for a Family Visitation Suite being created for severed Lumon employees. This area will allow Outies to meet with their families when they are at work, meaning that Dylan’s Innie can see his Outie’s wife and children during the day. As Milchik explains to Dylan, since Mark, Irving, and Helly are all single, Dylan is the only member of theMacrodata Refinement Departmentwho would be able to go to the Family Visitation Suite.

Milchick’s New Replacement In Severance Season 2 Is Shockingly Even More Terrifying Than He Was

While Mr. Milchick is one of the biggest villains in Severance, his replacement in season 2 is actually even more terrifying than him for one reason.

Milchick tries to make it seem as though he is extending a peace offering and generous incentive to Dylan. That being said, it is clearly an attempt to manipulate Dylan.Milchick knows that dangling the prospect of Dylan’s family in front of him is the most effective way to control himand to curb his rebellious behavior. By encouraging Dylan not to tell Mark, Irving, or Helly about the Family Visitation Suite, Milchick is also manipulating Dylan into keeping secrets from his friends, and giving Dylan a reason to choose his own desires over helping them.

Why Would Lumon Industries Want An Outies Family Visitation Suite?

There Must Be Ulterior Motives

Much likeLumon’s “Macrodat Uprising” video, the Family Visitation Suite is part of the corporation’s plan to convince Innies that positive changes are being made to make their lives better. The Family Visitation Suite may also be an initiative that Lumon thinks will be helpful in getting the severance procedure legalized. Their campaign likely took a significant step backwards when Helly shared several harsh realities during the gala in the season 1 finale.

Even if the Family Visitation Suite never comes to fruition, the blueprints are enough to already create a division between Dylan and his colleagues, a division that Milchick will undoubtedly exploit asSeveranceseason 2 continues.

Publicizing that severed employees can visit their familiesmay be part of the damage control Lumon is now doing. It is also possible that Lumon has no intention of making the Family Visitation Suite a reality. The blueprints may have been created to assuage public concerns about severed employees and their families, along with assuaging Dylan.
