Tom Holland’s MCU debut explored a story that Spider-Man had never embarked on before in live-action, as the wall-crawler was teamed up with several heroes as part ofTeam Iron Man. Recruited by Tony Stark in preparation for the Avengers' battle at Leipzig/Halle Airport,Peter Parker was gifted an upgraded Spider-Man costume, kitted out with Stark technology that made him more powerful than ever. Spider-Man meeting many of his heroes was brilliant to see, and he proved his worth when up against some of the MCU’s strongest characters.
DuringCaptain America: Civil War, Spider-Man took on Sam Wilson’s Falcon, Bucky Barnes' Winter Soldier, Scott Lang’s Ant-Man, and even Steve Rogers' Captain America, and managed to temporarily best each of them, though he was ultimately taken out of commission. This established his strong bond with Tony Stark’s Iron Man that persisted throughout each of his subsequent MCU projects.Spider-Man proved himself to be tactically-minded and a formidable ally thanks to his involvement with Team Iron Man.

In Marvel Comics, Flint Marko’s Sandman has sometimes been seen as a hero, as well as an iconic Spider-Man villain. This was paid homage to brilliantly for his first appearance inSpider-Man: No Way Home, asSandman teamed up with Spider-Man to bring Electro to his knees, allowing both to be captured and imprisoned in Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. He was a minor antagonist in the movie, as all he wanted was to get back home to his daughter. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man made this possible by curing him of his sandy infliction, perhaps inspired by Marko’s willingness to aid him during Electro’s emergence.

Although it didn’t take place in the MCU’s main continuity, Spider-Man was a key figure in the heroes' revolution against thezombie uprising duringWhat If…?season 1. Peter Parker helped Bruce Banner acclimatize to the new world, while also leading the fight against the zombies by helping his group get to Camp Lehigh to find Vision. While most of his group sacrificed their lives in the fight against the zombified Scarlet Witch,Spider-Man managed to escape with Scott Lang’s head and T’Challa’s Black Panther, providing hope for the future.
Equipped with the Mind Stone, these three heroes could save the entire world. This story may be detailed inMarvel Animation’s upcomingMarvel Zombiesseries, which will follow on fromWhat If…?. 7Peter Parker Teamed Up With Matt Murdock (In The Legal Sense)
Spider-Man and Daredevil’s team-upin Marvel Comics is one of the wall-crawler’s most notable partnerships. While this hasn’t happened in the MCU just yet, Peter Parker has indeed met Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock.Murdock made his official MCU debut inSpider-Man: No Way Home, providing legal advice to Peter Parker, Aunt May and Happy Hoganafter the former’s identity was revealed to the world, and he was implicated in major disasters. This legal partnership actually helped Parker get out of trouble.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been great to feature Matt Murdock in an MCU movie without showing off his impressive talents. Murdock catches a brick in mid-air, surprising Peter Parker, especially since the lawyer is blind.While everyone in the world has forgotten Peter Parker, his experience with Matt Murdock inSpider-Man: No Way Homemay prompt him to reconnect with the lawyerin hisupcomingSpider-Manmovies, allowing Spider-Man and Daredevil to team-up as costumed heroes in the MCU’s future.
6Iron Man & Spider-Man’s Team-Up Saved Doctor Strange
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
WhileIron Man had a key role in mentoring Peter ParkerthroughoutSpider-Man: Homecoming, the pair didn’t properly team-up during Holland’s first solo MCU movie. Instead,Avengers: Infinity Warmarked the first time the pair worked together one-on-one, as they worked out how to save Doctor Strange from Ebony Maw’s captivity while on the way to Titan. Iron Man blew a hole in the ship, blasting Ebony Maw into space, while Spider-Man saved Doctor Strange.This showed the pair’s quick-thinking and economy of skills and teamwork perfectly.
This moment carried even more weight for Spider-Man, however, asshortly after he and Iron Man saved Strange, the former christened him as an official member of the Avengers. Of course, this would be short-lived, asSpider-Man fell victim to Thanos' snapseveral hours later, but this was a monumental moment for Spider-Man that instilled him with a sense of pride and duty. This was perhaps one of Spider-Man’s most important team-ups, as he became something of an equal, instead of an apprentice.

Both Ned Leeds and MJ forgot Peter Parker at the end ofSpider-Man: No Way Home. This will surely have a huge impact on Peter Parker inSpider-Man 4and beyond, as he will be without his close-knit support network, and may not have a helping hand if he finds himself in trouble.Spider-Man chose not to remind his friendsabout him in an effort to keep them safe, as danger seems to follow him. Even so,there is speculation that the pair will remember him anyway, which could see Spider-Man reunite with his closest allies.

4Spider-Man Thought He Was Actually Teaming Up With Mysterio

In the wake ofTony Stark’s death inAvengers: Endgame, Peter Parker found himself scooped up by Nick Fury in Europe. Fury introduced Parker to Quentin Beck, who had become an overnight celebrity as the superhero Mysterio, claiming to have come from another reality of the multiverse. This eventually turned out to be a ruse, butSpider-Man still teamed up with what he thought was the bona fide superhero to take down the Fire Elemental in Prague. The pair seemingly defeat the villain together, making a strong team.
It was soon revealed that Mysterio was using this attack as a means to convince Peter Parker to hand over the EDITH glasses to him, allowing him to exact an even bigger attack on London. This act of betrayal perhaps hurt Peter Parker more than anything else, ashe trusted Mysterio enough to partner with him, and the pair seemed to work well together.Spider-Man was eventually able to best Mysterio, though the master of illusion had one more trick up his sleeve, as he revealed Parker’s identity to the world.
3Spider-Man & The Guardians Of The Galaxy Almost Stopped Thanos
After saving Doctor Strange with Iron Man and being christened an Avenger, Spider-Man found himself on Titan with the two older heroes, where they came into contact with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Together,the two teams devised a plan to distract and restrain Thanos, hopefully allowing them to easily remove the Infinity Gauntlet, which was already decorated with fourInfinity Stones: Power, Space, Reality, and Soul. Seeing Spider-Man alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy was hugely entertaining, especially since several of the cosmic team’s members made him seem more mature.
Spider-Man was able to get several punches in when Thanos arrived on Titan, though he was incapacitated by the Mad Titan. Once Mantis had calmed him, however, Spider-Man helped Iron Man try to retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet, but Thanos awoke just as the glove slipped from his hand.Spider-Man secured the Guardians of the Galaxy after Titan’s gravity went haywire during Thanos' subsequent attack, but ultimately fell victim to the Mad Titan after he claimed the final two Infinity Stones and snapped his fingers.
Gamora was noticeably absent during the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers' battle on Titan, as she had been sacrificed by Thanos in exchange for the Soul Stone only moments beforehand.
2Spider-Man Fought With The Avengers To Protect The Infinity Gauntlet
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Five years after the events ofInfinity War, Spider-Man joined the surviving and returned Avengers on the battlefield inEndgame, ready to take on a younger variant of Thanos.Spider-Man played a key role in this battle, as he helped to protect Tony Stark’s Infinity Gauntlet, but this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of several other heroes. Thanos does eventually get hold of the Infinity Gauntlet, but Tony Stark outsmarts him and snaps his fingers instead, sacrificing himself to save the universe.
DuringAvengers: Endgame’sBattle of Earth,Spider-Man was helped by many notable heroes, including Valkyrie and her pegasus, Captain America, who threw Mjolnir to propel the wall-crawler, and Captain Marvel. While this culminated in the MCU’s embarrassing A-Force tease, this brief pause provided a lovely moment of connection between Parker and Carol Danvers. Peter Parker’s relationship with Tony Stark was also put on full display duringEndgame’sfinal battle, too, culminating in the pair’s emotional goodbye.

The MCU’s Spider-Man teamed up with his own multiversal variants in Phase 4, withTobey Maguire and Andrew Garfieldreprising their roles as Spider-Man from previous Sony-produced movies.This not only tripled the amount of exciting Spider-Man action in the Phase 4 movie, but also allowed Holland’s Parker to get some valuable advice from his older counterparts.
The trio of Spider-Men related to each other thanks to their shared experiences and losses, and expressed their admiration for each other, becoming something like brothersover the course ofSpider-Man: No Way Home. This created the opportunity for several tender, quiet, and emotional moments in the intense trilogy-capper, and allowed Holland’s Spider-Man to move past his grief and pain afterAunt May’s tragic death. While this team-up will be hard to beat, there are many more heroes in the MCU’s future that would make perfect partners forSpider-Man.
