The bar is still open in 2025, with a full roster of activities for patrons, including DJ nights, black light Karaoke, and an upcoming Easter Scavenger Hunt on April 20.

Cliffordmay not offer the fanciest food around at Our Place, but those who want simpler cuisine may love his offerings. He’s into food and does his best to offer enticing eats for reasonable prices. Above, some tailgate party fare is being prepared, including corn, and the whole process looks very festive. There are also cheesesteaks - a guilty pleasure that’s so American.
Good food doesn’t have to be Michelin-star quality - in fact, certain people, including this author, are sometimes happier with a burger and fries. At Our Place, Taco Tuesdays are a weekly event, sports matches get corresponding grub, like the tailgate fare shown above, and there are meals for as little as eight bucks.
At the tailgate event, patrons were playing games, such as tossing little bean bags at a target, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. His bar has a down-home quality - it’s a fun place to hang out that’s not pretentious. While it isn’t a glam establishment, it’s often packed with locals who seem to appreciate what the Lake Forest eatery has to offer.
