The Release Dates for Everything Announced at Apple’s “Far Out” Event

On September 7, 2022, Apple announced its latest gadgets during the “Far Out” event. This is Apple’s first in-person event since the pandemic, and many have eagerly anticipated the latest generation of the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

The iPhone 14

As expected, Apple launched the latest generation of the iPhone during the September event. While the company dropped the iPhone mini from its line-up, the company announced a larger version of the standard iPhone, the iPhone 14 Plus. It also introduced the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max featuringthe Dynamic Islandinstead of a notch.

The iPhone 14 will hit the store shelves and start shipping on September 16, 2022—nine days after the announcement. However, if you want the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, you’ll have to wait a whole month after the Far Out event as it only becomes available on October 7, 2022.

The iPhone 14 starts at $799, but if you want a bigger screen, you’ll have to add $100 to get the iPhone 14 Plus at $899.

And if you want the more powerful iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, you don’t have to wait long as they’re available simultaneously with the iPhone 14. You can get them starting September 16, 2022, with the iPhone 14 Pro starting at $999 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max at $1,099.

The Apple Watch

Aside from the iPhone refresh, Apple also released new models of the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE update the company’s existing smartwatch line. In addition, the Cupertino-based company also introducedthe Apple Watch Ultra, with more advanced featuresand a tougher build for athletes and explorers.

The Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch 8 start shipping on September 16, 2022. However, if you want to get your hands on the Apple Watch Ultra, you’ll have to wait until September 23, 2022.

The Apple Watch SE starts at $249, while you’ll have to spend an extra $150 to get the $399 Apple Watch Series 8. But if you want “the most rugged and capable” watch that Apple offers, you’ll have to shell out $799 for the Apple Watch Ultra.

The AirPods Pro 2nd Generation

Aside from the iPhone and Apple Watch, the Cupertino tech giant also released a new version of the AirPods Pro. Although it looks exactly like the original AirPods Pro,the second-gen AirPods Pro packs several new features. That includes a better sound quality thanks to the all-new H2 chip, Find My integration, and a built-in speaker in the case to help you find it more easily.

The latest version of the AirPods Pro is priced at $249 and is available on store shelves and for shipping starting September 23, 2022.
