Canva’s Visual Suite came out in September 2022 and has come to be a great success. Canva Docs, a component of Visual Suite, has flourished as well, leading to its involvement in the growing world of AI.
Magic Write, Canva Docs’ very own AI text generator, can be the technology to help anyone break through into their next level of creativity—whether you’re writing a social media post, trying to come up with an image caption, or simply drafting up a paragraph. Below is an explanation of what Magic Write is and what it can be used for.

Magic Write is an AI text generator operated by OpenAI—the same company that powers ChatGPT. The purpose of Magic Write is to assist creators with writing to help make the work process more inspiring and efficient.
Canva is marketing Magic Write as a way to create a draft quickly, and it’s not wrong with what the technology can do. With just a couple of words, the AI can produce in seconds everything from a simple prompt to a full essay for the user to work with.
With that being said, there is a limitation for how many words the text generator can output—around 2,000 words is the max. It’s easy to get around this, though, by simply asking it to produce the written work one section at a time.
Where Can You Find Magic Write in Canva?

What Can Magic Write Be Used For?
It’s okay to ask for help with your work, and Magic Write is more than just a word generator. There are so many different ways that it can be beneficial to a user, from creating outlines to helping with writer’s block.
Here are a few ways that the AI text generator can assist you, but by no means is it a complete list.
Brainstorm Ideas
Magic Write is a great place to get your creative juices flowing. You can either ask it to come up with more specific ideas based on a broad topic or simply ask it to generate something random. You may come across an idea you’ve never thought of before.
Write Any Draft
