Why Is Worf Still The Only Klingon In Starfleet?
Worf is the only Klingon in Starfleet in the 24th century because ofWorf’s human and Klingon connections. After Romulans attacked the Khitomer colony where young Worf lived with his mother,Worf was rescued by Starfleet and adopted by a human family.The Rozhenkos raised Worf as their own, and encouraged Worf to explore his Klingon heritage on his own terms. During a Klingon coming of age ceremony, Worf was prophesied to be both a warrior and a pioneer among Klingons, so Worf enrolled at Starfleet Academy. Without human influences, it’s unlikely that any other Klingons would want to join Starfleet instead of the Klingon military.
